As we all know Google and many of the key search engines are constantly updating their algorithms, not only to combat search engine spam and black hat SEO techniques, but also to innovate and stay ahead of their competition.
2009 saw a flurry of activity between the top three search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing) and the almost daily updates resulted in constant fluctuations in organic rankings for most websites on the Internet.
The SEO community and general online business forums have been buzzing with speculation and frustration over the last couple of months due to this instability in the organic space, however we are pleased to report that despite the instability over the last few months 94% of all sites that we actively promote via SEO, which includes 216 of our own websites and 174 client sites, have not only been stable, but have seen a steady rise in rankings.
One of the main reasons for this stability is that we have always worked very closely with the top three search engines to ensure that we not only meet their guidelines and requirements as they change, but also that we follow the principle of “marketing first, search engine optimisation second”.
As 2010 is now fully upon us, we are starting to roll out many new features and enhancements in our service offering, all of which will be made available to you at no additional cost in the year ahead.
We are also extremely proud to be able to boast that this is the 3rd successive year running that we are able to increase the value in our service offering without having to raise prices or pass on the cost to our clients.
This achievement is a direct result of our visionary partners at Deloitte who have continued to push the envelope and help us pioneer in every aspect of our productivity management and resource positioning.
We have also continued to pioneer the SEO research space and have been granted several exclusive Google, Yahoo and Bing lab licences which enable us to test and strategise around new search algorithms before they are ever publically released, which continues to place us at the very forefront of the industry.
With that said we are confidant that we will continue to deliver a superior service in 2010 that will as always deliver directly into your bottom line.
With all these new and exciting developments however, there has been a need for us to completely overhaul our reporting and operating procedures, and although things will be a little different, we are certain you’ll find value in the way we’ll be doing things in 2010.
Herewith a list of the key changes:
New Service Portal:
As of January 2010 all our clients and partners in South Africa will be using the sarveshyadav.blogspot.com portal to access reporting, news, and updates related to our SEO services, as well as accessing additional SEO services.
The sarveshyadav.blogspot.com portal will be used as an exclusive SEO service gateway, whilst all client and partner interactions on other services will remain exactly as they were before.
In a nutshell the sarveshyadav.blogspot.com portal simply provides a dedicated point of contact for a very complex and specialised service, and we are certain that this will increase the value of what we already provide.
New Reporting Procedure and Interface:
In recent months Google, Yahoo and MSN (Bing) have been requesting that SEO providers decrease requests on their severs and data centres for the purpose of reporting SEO work schedules and tracking rankings, and as a responsible search partner we have answered this call by providing a complete revamp of our reporting procedures and interface.
Over the past couple of months we have developed a one of a kind, reporting system that will allow our clients and partners to get a bird’s eye view of their SEO campaigns and progress all whilst completely decreasing the load on the search engines and data centres.
Our reporting procedure and interface is by far the biggest change in the way we have done things over the past few years, and we are confident based on our initial beta tests that you will find enormous value in this new system.
The new system dubbed “MAVEN 1.0” has an array of intelligent features which will make it easy for clients and partners to login and get a quick summary and overview of their SEO activity and progress.
The most notable feature is that our system will check and monitor your rankings weekly via a direct API and store your ranking progress and changes on a weekly basis so that you can simply login and instantly see where you rank, for all of your keywords, on all of your projects.
Additionally because your rankings will be checked via a direct API you can rest assured that your ranking stats will be accurate and free from any local search, cookie history or personal search preferences which all skew the statistics when done via traditional manual browser based rank checking.
The MAVEN 1.0 system will also track and monitor your backlink profile which will not only include checking the number of links by which your profiles grows over time but also the quality of those links, so that you can get a first hand look at the result of the actual work that we do behind the scenes in the off page SEO campaign.
As a result of these new reporting features and the transparency over your campaign that the new system brings, we’ll be making redundant the old system of providing monthly work schedule reports, since most of our clients and partners will now have direct access to more progress orientated reports.
We will continue to log and store all work schedules on our end for internal use and productivity monitoring, and you may request these reports at anytime, however we believe that the new system will completely negate your need for these kinds of reports.
The MAVEN 1.0 system has far too many features to mention in this one notice, so instead we will gradually be releasing these system features in your reporting profile, along with some quick start tutorials over the next couple of months.
Additional Link Building Activities:
As the quality of backlinks continues to take preference over the sheer volume of backlinks in terms of determining your ranking, we have introduced several new link building activities into your campaigns at no additional cost.
These include:
* High profile .edu links
* High profile .gov links
* High profile web 2.0 links
* High profile web 2.0 profiles
* High profile forum profiles
* High profile forum links
In addition to adding links monthly from these sources above, we will be using these links to create link hubs and link pods, both vertical and closed loop to ensure maximum link value and exposure for your campaign/s.
